ONTARIO OVAL: 2011 Vintage Modified Banquet

By Randy Spencer – The Lucas Oil Canadian Vintage Modified race club held their annual Awards Banquet recently at the Galt Newfoundland Club in Cambridge. A large crowd was on hand for the 45th annual banquet and club president Dave Trendell hosted the awards presentation. Jason Keen was crowned series champion for the second straight year. Twenty four cars ran this year and the club consistently had one of the highest car counts at all the tracks they visited this past summer with an average of eighteen cars on any given night. Nine of those cars had perfect attendance for the ten race events that were run. Eight different drivers won a feature with John Karley and Chris Milwain both winning two. Three drivers made their debut with the club, Cassidy March, Rick Schurr and Joey Atkinson. Dave gave a big thanks to Sharon Yost and George McLeod for their hard work as Handicapper and Assistant Handicapper respectively.
