Frank was a member of the Steel City Riders Motorcycle Club and raced motorcycles from about 1954 to 1959. In 1964 he started racing a hobby car (a 1940 Ford Sedan) part way through the season and finished near, if not at the top of the points standings. Back then, if you won a hobby points championship you had to move on to another division. In 1965 he was leading the points race and decided to miss the last few weeks of racing, so he wouldn't have to leave the hobbies. In 1966 Frank won the hobby points championship. He was then "thrown out" and moved on to sportsmen, late models and then raced supers at Oswego,NY. Frank retired from racing in 1975. |
