High's Of High's, Low's Of Low's

The Young Driver's Canadian Vintage Modifieds returned to Flamboro Speedway for night ten of the 2022 season. 11 teams made the trip to Flamboro for what was going to be a hot night of racing for the teams. With only five nights of racing left teams are having to play big picture racing as the point battle tightens up between the top 3 of Marshall, Q. Murdoch and Podd.

In the first feature Scott Tonelli and Steve Murdoch started on the front row for this one followed by Jae Pepin and and Adam Ross. On the start it was a good battle between. the #42 of Murdoch and the #14 of Tonelli as the field settled in with Tonelli grabbing the top spot and pulling away from Murdoch. While the rest of the field sorted it self out. Tonelli would pull away by a good lead. That was until the #03 of Jake Gilbert would get around the #42 of Murdoch and start tracking down our leader with the #15 of T.J Marshall chasing down the #03. On lap 9 there would be a change for the lead with Gilbert and Marshall getting by Tonelli who would fall back to third. Tonelli would have Ricky Willigar, Joe Arsenault and Mike Podd single filed behind him but none of them were able to do much. When the checkered flag flew it was the #03 of Jake Gilbert picking up his first career win with the club with Marshall taking second and rounding out the podium would be Scott Tonelli.

After the intermission the teams would be getting prepared for the second feature of the night It would be Jae Pepin and Quintin Murdoch starting on the front row for the second feature. Quintin would jump out to an early lead but unfortunately would pull off the track on lap 4 handing the lead over to the #17 of Joe Arsenault until lap 8 when Arsenault would get passed by Marshall with Arsenault falling back when the #03 of Jake Gilbert got by. On lap 19 the #03 of Gilbert would lose a motor at the end of the straightaway resulting in Gilbert sliding and hitting the outside wall hard in turn 3 bringing along the #17 of Arsenault. Both drivers got out under their own powers and walked away but were sore. When the race resumed T.J Marshall would lead the final 6 laps en route to the feature win on the night and the overall winner of the night. Ricky Willigar and Mike Podd would round out the podium.
